Advertising and Promotion are essential to your clubs success. Read the information below to learn how to advertise in the McMaster Community, the number of services available to clubs for promotion, and important policies, procedures and forms.
Advertising on McMaster’s Campus
All clubs must abide by the MSU’s Operating Policy 1.3.2: Promotions and Advertising. Please read the copy provided below and direct any questions to the Clubs Administrator.

There are several MSU services provided to clubs in order to help with your advertising needs. Below are all the ways in which you can promote your club and club events and activites!
Posters
Creating posters to advertise a club activity or event is one of the most commonly used and successful forms of adversiting as it reaches thousands of students on a daily basis.

All MSU Club posters must contain the club logo provided below.

Residence Information System (RIS) Screens
Clubs can also place their adveritsiments on RIS Screens, which are located in the lobby of each residence on campus. Target your advertising with this new brand medium!

Radio Promotions
93.3 CFMU is looking to help MSU clubs promote themselves, their ideas, and their events through public service announcements and interviews. To get a PSA on the air, simply email it to cfmunews@msu.mcmaster.ca and it will be read live by various hosts throughout the day. To book an interview, contact Spoken Word Director Sandy Gill at cfmunews@msu.mcmaster.ca or x 27582.
Interviews will air on our newsmagazine, Morningfile, either live or pre-recorded. CFMU is heard on 93.3 FM, as well as on our website http://cfmu.mcmaster.ca.
Union Market Advertising
Union Market is a widely used MSU service that not only provides coffee, but also provides McMaster University and MSU departments and clubs with advertising options.
