Religious Club of the Year: McMaster Hindu Student’s Association

Social Issues Club of the Year: Asian FOCUS



New Club of the Year: Feminist Alliance McMaster



Club of the Year: COPE: A Student Health Initiative

Annually as of 2007, the MSU Clubs Department will present 7 awards to clubs, who have demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the academic year.

The awards are as follows:
• MSU Club Award
• Academic Club of the Year
• Cultural Club of the Year
• Recreational Club of the Year
• Religious Club of the Year
• Social Issues Club of the Year
• New Club of the Year *

* Clubs nominated for this award must have been newly formed the year the award is presented

In granting the award, the Selection Committee will consider those clubs who:

1. Have provided an open and inclusive environment within the club and through the events held by the club and in collaboration with other clubs
2. Have demonstrated positive and lasting relationships within the McMaster community and the community-at-large
3. Are dedicated to their club’s purpose and/or cause, and who have demonstrated this through the events and initiatives central to their operation

Cultural- African Caribbean Association
Recreational- McMaster Breakdancing Club
Religious- McMaster Muslim Students’ Association
Social Issues- COPE: A Mental Health Initiative
New Club of the Year- McMaster Alzheimer’s Society
MSU Club of the Year- McMaster Marching Band
