Start A New Club

Ratification schedule:

**September Ratification:
Application available February and due on the 2nd Friday of March. Ratification meeting is held in June.

January Ratification: Application Available October and due by noon on Wednesday November 16, 2011. Ratification meeting is held in January.

**All clubs (both returning and new) must apply for ratification during this application period.

Please note:

Before submitting your application and meeting with the Clubs Administrator, be sure that your clubs follows the MSU operating policies regarding clubs. Read the policy here.

A club must also be able to demonstrate:

- Uniqueness: the club must not have the same or a similar mandate to other existing clubs or other group on campus;
- Distinctiveness: the club must be readily distinguishable from all other existing clubs;
- Obtain significant student interest and
- Produce a positive impact on the McMaster Community

Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

All applications shall be reviewed by the Club Administrator

The Clubs Administrator may provide recommendations to the organization in an effort to assist in ratification. The Clubs Administrator may make recommendations that are additional to or above the requirements stipulated within the Clubs Policy. Any assistance from the Clubs Administrator does not guarantee that the club will be ratified.

The Club Administrator shall provide recommendations to the SRA with respect to whether or not ratification is recommended for each applicant club.
