What is the Canadian Athlets Now Fund (CAN Fund)
The Canadian Athletes Now Fund is a national not-for-profit organization devoted solely to raising funds and awareness of our Canadian Olympic athletes. This fund has supported over 400 of our athletes so they can afford proper nutrition, better equipment, coaching, travel to competitions and training camps and basic living expenses in their pursuit of the Olympic Games. As 2012 is an Olympic year, the organization needs our support to help Canadian athletes achieve their dreams on the international stage. This charity offers scholarships to the Canadian athletes in need of financial support so that their goal of receiving an Olympic medal for Canada becomes a reality.

Testimony from Gold Medalist:
"Receiving funding from CAN Fund leading into the 2010 Olympic Games played a big part in why I became an Olympic Gold Medalist. The financial barriers that CAN Fund’s support removed allowed me to focus solely on my sport for the months and years leading into 2010. Without it, a part time job would have been required, detracting not only from my training, but more importantly, from my recovery from training. Thank you CAN Fund for helping me reach the pinnacle achievement of speed skating. Olympic Gold!"
