Student Fee Breakdown

Tuition is only a part of the cost of university.  Books, supplies and living costs must also be factored in to the overall cost of education.  Below is a breakdown of the supplementary fees students pay.

MSU fees:

MSU Operating Fund (Organization Fee) - $117.28
MSU Health Plan - $55.00  (you can opt-out by September 30th)
MSU Dental Plan - $110.00  (you can opt-out by September 30th)
CFMU Operating and Capital Funds - $16.77
Marmor Operating Fund (MSU’s University yearbook) - $8.73
HSR Bus Pass - $126.15
WUSC Refugee Scholarship - $1.41

Fees administered by non-MSU, non-University bodies:

MUSC Operating Fee, payable to McMaster University - $0.60 per unit (to a max of 30 units)
Incite Magazine fee - $0.91
Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) - $7.24
McMaster Solar Car Project - $1.03

Engineers Without Borders - $0.35
