Change Camp Hamilton was launched in March 2015 by the MSU to bring residents, post-secondary education institutions, community organizations, and the City of Hamilton together in a conversation focused on community, partnerships, and collaboration.
Since its inception, the event has grown to be a collaborative initiative focused on addressing the needs and interests of Hamilton residents.
In 2017, Change Camp is structured as a series of workshops, each lead by a team of Hamilton residents, post-secondary students and faculty, community groups, and the City of Hamilton representatives with a strong interest in their respective topic. The workshops are focused on the following topics:
Community Print Shop
Following these discussion based workshops, interested participants will join the original Theme Teams to create sustainable projects on the respected topic.
Students are encouraged to attend the event. Having your voice at Change Camp is important as it will shape how these projects will proceed. Change Camp 2017 will be on September 25 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the David Braley Health Science Centre. Registration is now open.
