The courses being offered on April 6-7 include: 

CPR/AED (Level A or C)

In-class Cost: $55.00  (8 hours in-class)                                                                    

Provides various levels of CPR training based on the participants needs and interest.

CPR Level A: CPR and choking procedures for an adult.

CPR Level C: CPR and choking procedures for an adult, child, and baby.

Please note CPR Level HCP is no longer offered by the Red Cross, though their site is not yet updated.  

CPR/AED (BLS)

In-class Cost: $55.00 (4 hours)

A skills-focused professional resuscitation course, not a first-aid based CPR course. Includes legal issues surrounding resuscitation, head-tilt/chin-lift, jaw thrust, simultaneous breathing and circulation assessments, agonal respirations, choking skills, CPR (adult, child, and infant), six rights of medication, AED skills, and other special considerations for Basic Life Support. Please note that this course should be used in conjunction with a medical protocol. Requires recertification 1/year.

This course provides comprehensive First Aid and CPR techniques. Material includes the content of the Emergency First Aid course, such as recognizing and responding to cardiovascular emergencies, CPR, choking, airway and breathing emergencies, assisting with medications, and prevention of disease transmission. Additionally, Standard First Aid includes sudden medical emergencies, injuries to the head, neck, or spine, environmental emergencies, and poisons. Certification lasts for 3 years.

This course provides simple First Aid and CPR techniques useful in the home or workplace. Material includes recognizing and responding to cardiovascular emergencies for adults CPR, choking, airway and breathing emergencies, assisting with medications, and prevention of disease transmission. Certification last for 3 years.
