General Assembly

General Assembly 2017 will be held March 22 in Burridge Gym from 4-6pm. Registration will open at 3:15pm, please bring your student card.  Motions must be submitted to the MSU Speaker by email no later than Wednesday, March 15.  Please email speaker@msu.mcmaster.ca to submit a motion, or for an General Assembly related question.


The MSU General Assembly is the constitutionally-mandated annual meeting of all full-time undergraduate students (18 or more units), wherein any student may submit a motion for discussion or debate and speak for - or against - any issue. The GA serves as an opportunity to participate in the decision making process of the MSU and have an opportunity to direct the organizations actions. Additionally, it is a place where the business of students is brought before an open and public session, where individuals can have any business addressed and even have binding motions passed on the union.
