Hours: 35 hours per week
This is a FULL TIME, one-year contract (with the possibility of extension for an additional year). To be eligible for this position, applicants must be a graduating full-time undergraduate student (taking 18 units or more) at the time of applying or have graduated from McMaster within the last year (12 months). This position is considered full-time and therefore is also entitled to an extensive benefits package.
Whether it's a breaking news story or an ongoing investigation, Silhouette reporters will be there and are committeed to informing the student body of the issues and concerns that affect their lives. The Sil's sports section is your best way to keep up with the exploits of the many Mac varsity teams, while ARts & Culture provides useful and insightful profiles, features, and tips to help you get the most out of student life. The Sil's opinions section is your own forum through which you can speak to the masses. Got something to say? Submit an OpEd piece by two days prior to that week's publication.
The Silhouette Editor-in-Chief is responsible for all of the content of The Silhouette, the actions of the staff, and for the expenditures of the paper. This includes supervising the editorial staff, approving the layout of the paper, and approving all content for both print and online articles.
