Presidents’ Town Hall: Presentations with Q&A from Dr. Patrick Deane and Chukky Ibe

On Thursday, February 15, there will be a town hall featuring presentations from Chukky Ibe, MSU President, and Dr. Patrick Deane, McMaster University President. The reception with complimentary food begins at 3:00PM, followed by presentations from the Presidents at 3:30PM

Nominations for the 2018/2019 Student Representative Assembly are open until February 27

MSU presidential appeals meetings results in additional disqualification

Upon appeal, the Elections Committee has reconsidered evidence against the campaign of Ikram Farah. Consequently, Ms. Farah has been disqualified from the 2018 MSU presidential election.  In addition, the Elections Committee has upheld its election night decision to disqualify Rabeena Obaidullah.  As a result, Muhammed Aydin is president-elect of the McMaster Students Union. Results remain unofficial at this time and remain subject to further appeal.

IT Tech Forum: Provide feedback on A2L & Mosaic

There will be pizza and refreshments during a technology feedback session from 3PM - 5:30PM in MUSC 313/311 on February 5, 2018. Attendees will be able to provide their opinions and thoughts regarding the student tech experience at McMaster.

The MSU’s pre-budget submission to the City of Hamilton includes the priorities of transit, housing and student employment

From now until April, Hamilton City Councillors will be debating what is included and excluded from the City budget. The MSU is taking advantage of this opportunity, lobbying for student interests to be reflected in the budget for 2018-2019.
