Student opinions wanted at OUSA focus groups

The Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) is a research-based, member-driven organization that represents about 140,000 undergraduate students at seven Ontario member universities. At this year's fall OUSA Genreal Assembly, three issues will be discussed: Student Financial Assistance, the Broader Learning Environment, and Teaching & Assessment. All MSU members are invited to a series of focus groups in order to give their feedback on the policy papers that will be submitted at OUSA General Assembly

QSCC's MacPride Week November 2-6

Every year, the QSCC presents MacPride Week, an opportunity to celebrate and support gender and sexual minorities on campus. This year, MacPride Week will be held from November 2 to 6. Annual events, including the March, Rally, Keynote Address, and Drag Show, will return this year, as well as a variety of workshops and socials.

SCSN hosts Fall Passport contest, P2P Program and more

The Student Community Support Network (SCSN) is a service aimed at strengthening positive relationships between students and the permanent resident community in the West Hamilton Area. SCSN also acts as a support and a local resource for off-campus students through programming and events, such as the highly successful Discover Your City campaign.

Spark is a service provided by the McMaster Students Union (MSU) to help first year students during their transition into university. Spark offers a Mentorship Program, as well as regular workshops that are open to all first year students.

MSU's Audited Statements Affirm Surplus & Highlight Excellent Financial Practices

Every full-time undergraduate student contributes to the MSU through the $124.33 MSU organizational fee. The MSU has a responsibility to spend this fee wisely and effectively. The most recent audited statements of the organization, pursuant to fiscal year 2014/15, have once again affirmed the MSU’s exceptional financial regulations and practices.

Mac Bread Bin Launching Food Collective Centre

On October 19th, Mac Bread Bin launched the Food Collective Centre (FCC). This is a new space located at Bridges Cafe in the refectory building. The intent of the space is to remove the stigma surrounding food banks by offering food support in a dignified, welcoming environment.
