Expanded Clubs Discount Card benefits McMaster student groups

Over the past summer, the Clubs Discount Card was expanded to offer increased support for the 350+ clubs recognized by the MSU. Academic, cultural, recreational, religious and social issues clubs enhance student life and provide meaningful contributions to the McMaster and Hamilton communities. The amount and variety of clubs available allow thousands of students to find and join clubs tailored to their specific interests.

“McMaster has an expansive clubs department that reaches a large portion of the student body,” says Alexandrea Johnston, MSU Vice President (Finance). “The Clubs Discount Card aims to support clubs as they host events, fundraise, raise awareness for different causes, connect with broader communities, and engage their members.”

Each club receives one card with the name of the specific club’s president on it. The card offers discounts ranging from 5% - 30% at businesses, many of which are local to the Hamilton community. Clubs benefit from food discounts at establishments such as Boston Pizza, Bulk Barn, Fortinos, Paisley’s, and Westdale Cupcakes. There are other group discount programs available through the Hamilton Convention Centre, Mason Athletics, and Sharp Bus Lines.
