Opportunities for student feedback in health services review
November 6, 2019 at 11:00 am
The MSU University Affairs committee is currently conducting a health services review. As part of the review, a survey will be disseminated on November 3 and remain open for the month of November. The survey will ask questions related to students' expereinces (or lack thereof) related to the Student Wellness Centre, the Student Wellness Centre Lower Lounge (SWELL), Student Accessibility Services, and the MSU Student Health Education Centre.
Fawziyah Isah, Associate Vice-President University Affairs, highlights the importance of gathering feedback on health services at McMaster.
'It is essential that health services on campus are fulfilling the needs of students,” says Isah. “Conducting this review helps us to better understand potential gaps in the interactions between students and campus health services - particularly the experiences of racialized and marginalized students. I hope that by engaging both students and campus health services in this process, we will be able to advocate for positive change.” In addition to the survey, University Affairs is hosting the following focus group sessions:
- November 20: 10:30 AM in MUSC 220
- November 21: 3:30 PM in MUSC 203
- November 25: 6:00 PM in MUSC 206/207
The sessions will last for roughly an hour and complimentary food and beverages will be provided.
The anonymous survey is located here. Those who participate may choose to be entered into a draw for a chance to win a pair of Apple AirPods.
