Hosted by the MSU Women and Gender Equity Network, Transforming Mac is a week of trans-focused programming and events from November 18 to November 22, featuring workshops, a clothing swap, and a vigil for the Trans Day of Remembrance.

“WGEN hopes to centre support, safety, resources, and community for trans folks during this week through a series of events that focus on education and navigation of trans-based resources, as well as a series of events that focus on community building, bringing trans folks together through socials and fun activities, and closed events for trans folks to heal, find support and exist in a safe(r) space,” says Nealob Kakar, WGEN Coordinator. “Transforming Mac works towards establishing equity and inclusivity on campus, particularly for trans folks and disabled BIPoC trans folks, by providing the space, outlet, resources, and community support that actively works to prioritize them."
