MSU continuing to offer support to students

On Friday, March 13th, the MSU announced the cancellation of all operations, services, businesses, and political meetings. However, the MSU is committed to offering continuing support through the Health & Dental Insurance Plan, the Student Assistance Plan, the Emergency Bursary Fund, and the HSR Bus Pass.
Students’ health and dental insurance plans continue to operate. Students can find a full coverage list on the insurance webpage, along with information on how to make an online claim and access print claim forms. Questions about the health and dental insurance plan can be directed to Victoria Scott at email@example.com. Coverage is valid from September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020.
The Student Assistance Plan can be accessed via our benefit provider We Speak Student or by going directly to the McMaster page on the Real Campus website. The Mental Health Support Program is running as per usual, along with the other core services operating virtually. Consultations on legal, financial, life, nutrition, and wellness resources are available. More information can be found on the Student Assistance Plan webpage.
As the MSU monitors the COVID-19 situation closely, we understand the financial impacts this can have on students. Students are encouraged to put theirs and others’ safety first. Any student in need of financial assistance can access funding through the Emergency Bursary Fund, sponsored by the MSU.
The HSR Bus Pass remains valid through August 2020. For more information about the student bus pass, please visit the bus pass webpage, or email Debbie Good at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are experiencing difficulties with your PRESTO HSR bus pass.
