The MSU welcomes the 2020-2021 Vice Presidents and Speaker

On April 18 and 19, the Student Representative Assembly (SRA) elected the MSU Vice Presidents and Speaker for 2020-2021. Along with MSU President-elect Giancarlo Da-Ré, the incoming Vice Presidents will form the next Board of Directors and will take office on May 1, 2020. Also elected over the weekend was the MSU Speaker, whom will preside over the bi-weekly meetings of the SRA. Click here to access the elections that took place remotely.
Anika Spasov was elected as the next Vice President (Administration) of the MSU. Her platform is centred on support, training, and transition for part-time managers, service volunteers, associate vice-presidents, and the SRA, better engagement with the McMaster community, social accountability and equity, and welcome week.
Fawziyah Ali was elected as the next Vice President (Education) of the MSU. Her platform focuses on a divestment action plan, University deferred exam policy, tuition and financial aid, effective transit, anti-racism and anti-discrimination in Hamilton, and prioritizing students during COVID-19.
Jessica Anderson was elected as the next Vice President (Finance) of the MSU. Her platform addresses enhancing business units, MSU Clubs, financial literacy and training, welcome week, and general projects aimed at enhancing the organization.
Rhea Jangra was elected as the next MSU Speaker. During her term, she will aim to maintain SRA transparency by working with the MSU Communications Officer, ensure collaboration, and maintain accountability, in addition to supporting the SRA via feedback, check-ins, and training.
