MSU Diversity Services launches Finding the Words campaign

Starting on April 7, Diversity Services will launch Finding the Words, a storytelling campaign that aims to uplift the voices of students with marginalized identities that often go unheard. From experiences of having one’s identity questioned when it does not conform, to the ways in which folks adjust their behaviour to ‘fit in’, Finding the Words brings stories of fellow Marauders who have something to share. Celebrate end of classes at Light Up the Night 2019

April 3, 2019 at 12:00 pm

McMaster University Alumni Association and the McMaster Students Union, along with numerous other campus partners, have partnered to celebrate the end of classes with the fifth annual year-end block party on April 9, 2019. Light Up the Night will feature a variety of events and activities, thousands of lights strung on campus, carnivalesque rides and games, free food vendors, and live musical performances.

MSU condemns sexual violence, commits to systematic review of the Maroons department and the MSU as a whole.

While continuing to work with the University’s Sexual Violence Response Coordinator, as well as experts within the Office of Equity and Inclusion, you have my pledge that the MSU will source and hire an independent consultant to review all polices, practices, and structures related to the Maroons - as well as the organization as a whole - in regards to sexual violence response and prevention.

Walk with SWHAT during the Walk-a-thon this March for Neighbour to Neighbour

The MSU Student Walk Home Attendant Team (SWHAT) is excited to be supporting Neighbour to Neighbour Centre for their Walk-a-thon this March. Students can support SWHAT and Neighbour to Neighbour by getting a walk from SWHAT volunteers this March, as one dollar will be donated for every walk throughout the month.

MSU General Assembly on March 20 in Burridge Gym

This year, the annual MSU General Assembly (GA) will be held on March 20 in Burridge Gym from 4 - 7 PM. Registration will open at 3:15 PM in the mezzanine above the gym, with entry via the IWC hallway. MSU members are welcome to attend with their student card.
