For over 20 years, the McMaster Students Union (MSU) and the Graduate Students Association (GSA) have worked in partnership with the Hamilton Street Rail (HSR) to provide students with HSR bus passes. As the contract between the MSU and HSR is set to be renewed in January 2020, there is currently a feedback survey available to gather information on how students use the HSR.

Advocacy at municipal, provincial, and federal levels is a key component of the McMaster Students Union. At a municipal level, the MSU education team creates budget submissions to help ensure student needs are reflected in the City of Hamilton’s budget. This year, the priorities are transit, accessibility, sustainability, and the Environmental By-Law.
