University Library Announces Expanded Hours of Operation

After consultations with MSU President David Campbell, the University Library has announced new improvements to library hours of operation for the upcoming school year.  Thanks to the feedback of McMaster students, Mills, Mills Learning Commons and Innis will all offer some level of increased access.

Is SOLAR Causing You a Headache?

Many students describe lengthy waits to log into SOLAR (McMaster’s online course registration platform), only to find required and / or highly recommended courses already full. Other sources of frustration for students are the discrepancies between the master course timetable and SOLAR. MSU VP (Education) would like to hear your stories and share them with University Administration.

MSU BoD Meets with Ministers Duguid and McMeekin

The Board of Directors of the McMaster Students Union met with Ted McMeekin, Minister of Community and Social Services and MPP for Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale, as well as Brad Duguid, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities at the most recent meeting of the Hamilton Post Secondary Advisory Group (HPSAG).

Some Relief in New Provincial Tuition Framework, Yet Costs Continue to Rise

MSU VP and Speaker Elections to be Held April 7th

Any MSU member (an undergraduate student enrolled in 18 units or more) may run for the election of a Vice Presidential position or for the role of Speaker.   Elections will be held at the Student Representative Assembly meeting of Sunday, April 7, 2013 beginning at noon in Council Chambers (Gilmour Hall 111). You need only make your presence known at this meeting if you wish to be considered.
