Mac Farmstand hosts 3rd Annual Local Food Fest

On Wednesday, September 27, Mac Farmstand will host Local Food Fest, an outdoors event in Mills Plaza from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, targeted at promoting the importance of local food to the McMaster community. The vendors, activities and McMaster services and clubs present aim to foster a connection between attendees and the local food system that surrounds them.

MSU Women and Gender Equity Network now open in MUSC 204

Open as of September 18th for 2017-2018, the MSU Women and Gender Equity Network is a service that caters to serve women, transfolk, people who identify outside the gender binary, and all survivors of sexual assault. Providing a safe(r) space on campus in MUSC 204, WGEN exists as a shared learning space for people to talk, receive peer support and bond through similar experiences.

Student Activity Building Survey

The Space Expansion referendum in March passed with a majority of students voting in favour of a Student Activity Building (SAB) and a Pulse and recreation expansion. The commitments for the SAB include a grocery store and multi-faith prayer space, with the remainder being unallocated space. To determine the best use of this space, the SAB Ad Hoc Committee was created to gather information and recommendations based on student feedback.

MSU to host Vision 17 conference in downtown Hamilton

On June 17, the McMaster Students Union will host the Vision 17 conference. Open to undergraduate student leaders from all areas of campus,  Vision 17 will be a day of workshops, networking events, speakers and refection exercises.

Applications for Associate Vice-President Positions open until April 23

The MSU is currently hiring six Associate Vice-Presidents, each chairing a standing committee of the Student Representative Assembly (SRA) and any directly related ad-hoc committees of the SRA. All MSU members (full time undergraduate students taking 18 units or more) are eligible to apply. Applications for these paid positions will be accepted until April 23 at 11:59 pm.
