MSU & University to propose Athletics & Recreation expansion, Student Activity Building and Pulse membership for all MSU members

McMaster students have made it clear that space is becoming more-and-more limited on campus.  Students, MSU clubs and faculty societies have all noted the growing lack of lounge space, study space, multi-faith prayer space and low (or no) -cost event space. Should students be willing to make the investment, a new Student Activity Build could greatly enhance student life on campus.

Audited Financial Statements of the MSU (fiscal year 2015-2016)

On September 25, 2016, the Student Representative Assem­bly, acting in their capacity as members of MSU Inc, received and subsequently passed the MSU’s 2015-2016 au­dited financial statements, as pre­pared by KPMG. The organization is in a healthy financial position and chose to invest in the start-up of key programs this past year.

ChangeCampX is launching this November in an effort to move Change Camp Hamilton action recommendations from idea to project. ChangeCampX is a set of theme-specific workshops aimed to encourage participants to develop project-specific plans and related actions, identify potential collaborators, and commit to advancing the project to implementation.

Registration is now open for MSU Policy Conference on Saturday November 12

The MSU will be holding it’s first ever Policy Conference on Saturday November 12 as a way for students to be more involved in the MSU’s policy work. This is an opportunity for students to provide their perspective and feedback on policies for the topics of Sexual and Gender Diversity, International Students, and Ancillary Fees. MSU set to launch new Student Assistance Program, includes free psychological, legal and financial counselling

The MSU Student Assistance Program is a new benefit provided to all McMaster students. Launching on Monday, October 17, the new program is free, confidential, voluntary and accessible. The two main services are psychological counseling and academic-life services, and include phone and online counseling, as well as legal and financial consultations, to name a few.

Applications are open for the OUSA Fall General Assembly

The Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) will host its bi-annual General Assembly (GA) at Western University from November 4 – 6, 2016. The MSU, as a member of OUSA, will be sending a delegation to this year's Fall General Assembly, where discussions of additions and changes to official OUSA policy will take place. All FT undergraduate students are invited to apply to be members of the MSU's delegation.
