September 9, 2015 at 09:41 am

Fall nominations for Valedictorian are open until September 28, 2015. Valedictorian applications are an excellent opportunity for graduating students to nominate a fellow graduating student – undergraduate or graduate – who best represents the student community at McMaster University.

Valedictorians will demonstrate high academic achievement, leadership, and communication skills. In addition, and pursuant to the selection policy, applications will be evaluated on such factors as academic prowess, personal achievement, and community outreach.  The MSU provides undergraduate student representation on the valedictorian selection committees for each faculty.

Valedictorian nomination packages can be accessed here.

Submit completed valedictorian nomination packages to the School of Graduate Studies (Gilmour Hall 212) by 4:00pm on September 28th, 2015. Interviews with prospective valedictorians will take place on October 15th -16th, 2015 in Gilmour Hall, Room 212/B.

The following convocations, of which there is a respective Valedictorian, are held:

  • Friday, November 20th, 2015 9:30am: Faculties of Business, Engineering, Humanities, and Social Sciences
  • Friday, November 20th, 2015 2:30pm: Faculties of Health Sciences and Science
