Undergraduate Student Initiatives Fund Still Open!

The Undergraduate Student Initiative Fund is money set aside every year to help bring to life the ideas and thoughts of students who wish to enhance their experience on campus through new ideas/programs, enhanced MSU club activities, etc. An open call for applications is on year round, and the second review is coming up soon. There is still funding available for good proposals.

The McMaster School of Nursing needs your help!

As part of a program founded in September, the McMaster School of Nursing has been working together with Refugee Hamilton Centre for Newcomer Health to provide health and wellness centres for those without proper access to health care. In order to keep the program running, further funding is required.  To that end,  they have applied for the AVIVA Community Competition for a $100,000 grant and need help to secure the funds.

McMaster Wins 2012 TD Pump It Up Contest

After losing to Queens University last year, the maroon spirit persevered through the third and final round of the heavy weight division, which saw Mac beating out Queens to take the 2012 contest.

MSU-University Ombuds Advisory Committee

The MSU-University Ombuds Advisory Committee is excited to welcome Kileen Dagg Centurione to McMaster in the role of Ombuds.  She will be filling the vacancy left by Shelley Lancaster who retired earlier this year.  Kileen will be working alongside Carolyn Brendon in a job share position beginning October 15.

Renaissance Awards

McMaster University is offering a new award starting this year. Valued at up to $25,000 the award is aimed at providing students (undergraduate, graduate, and professional) with a chance to engage in transformative experiences, which normally would not be considered part of typical academic programs.
