Applications are open until January 26 for the OUSA Spring General Assembly

The Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) will host its bi-annual General Assembly (GA) at Western University from March 12 – 15, 2020. Decisions made at General Assembly are binding upon OUSA, and policies passed become representative of students across Ontario. As a member of OUSA, the MSU will be sending a delegation. Applications to be an OUSA delegate are welcome from any member of the undergraduate student body taking 18 units or more.

Spring Valedictorian nominations open until Feb 24

The nomination period is now open for Spring 2020 valedictorians. Information packages and nomination forms are available from the front desk of the MSU office (MUSC 201), or by clicking here. Candidates will have until 4:30 PM on Monday, February 24 to submit their nomination packages to their respective faculty or program offices.

The MSU’s budget submission to the City of Hamilton prioritizes transit, accessibility, and sustainability

Advocacy at municipal, provincial, and federal levels is a key component of the McMaster Students Union. At a municipal level, the MSU education team creates budget submissions to help ensure student needs are reflected in the City of Hamilton’s budget. This year, the priorities are transit, accessibility, sustainability, and the Environmental By-Law.

#MacVotes: Advanced voting on campus October 5 - 9 in Celebration Hall (KTH B116)

The MSU MacVotes campaign includes a series of events throughout October to help inform students about voting in the upcoming federal election. Students that are Canadian citizens and at least 18 on October 21 may vote. From October 5 to 9, there will be an advance voting booth on campus at which students may vote in any riding across Canada.
