CFMU 93.3FM is updating its look and making it easier than ever for McMaster and Hamilton-Wentworth residents to enjoy the award-winning radio station. Some of the exciting audio features of the new website include up-to-the-minute playlists, live streaming of on-air broadcasts of over 110 shows a week, and podcasts with archives of all 110 shows.
“It's been over 25 years since the CFMU updated it's look and a lot has changed since then,” says Sandeep Bhandari, CFMU Administrative Director. “With many more online features on our new digital platform, it felt like the perfect opportunity to re-position ourselves as an exciting local broadcaster and community partner.”
The website also features a CFMU video content, a blog on the McMaster and Hamilton communities, and a Top 30 chart with easy access to artists’ work. Listeners can subscribe to their favourite shows, engage with the hosts and producers, and chat directly with hosts as they broadcast live from the studio with the new built-in Twitter functionality.
Radio has changed drastically over the last decade, and Bhandari looks forward to CFMU being used in a more engaging and accessible way online. “We're really proud to be working alongside the McMaster Students Union to bring provide students and Hamilton-Wentworth residents a new digital platform,” says Bhandari. “This platform will help us give a voice to our community even more vibrantly than before.
