MSU Spark is recruiting upper year student mentors

July 10, 2017 at 16:25 pm

Spark, a McMaster Students Union service designed to help incoming students thrive during their first year at McMaster University, is currently recruiting Team Leaders. Spark offers both social and academic programming, providing students with opportunities to connect with one another on a weekly basis. Team Leaders play an important role in Spark's mentorship program, supporting groups of first-year students as they make the transition from high school to university. Team Leaders act as mentors, friends, and a source of encouragement for students throughout their first year of university.

Becoming a Team Leader offers upper year students an opportunity to use their own experiences to help incoming students, as well as to grow their own leadership skills. Facilitating mentorship sessions and Spark events, Team Leaders work together to create a supportive environment for first year students. Spark connects McMaster students to one another, creating a unique chance to build strong friendships and offer meaningful support.

A job description and application for the Team Leader position can be found here. Applications are open until July 23 at 11:59PM.
