MSU Spark and First Year Council present the 2nd annual first-year student formal
November 2, 2017 at 12:00 pm
On Thursday, November 16, MSU Spark and First Year Council (FYC) will host ‘A Starry Night,’ a formal for first-year students. The event is being held at the Hamilton Convention Centre and is open to all first years, regardless of whether or not they are in the Spark program. This night off-campus is a great way to celebrate the first few months of university, featuring music, a photo booth organized by FYC, dancing and s three course dinner.
Students can bring a guest in a different year, as long as they are McMaster students. All guests must show a valid McMaster student ID and their ticket upon entry. Doors open at 6:00 PM and close at 7:15 PM, dinner will begin at 7:30 PM. Students are encouraged to bring their bus pass, as the venue is located directly on the bus route at Main at McNab, which can be accessed by taking the 1A, 5A, 5C, 5E, or 51 Eastbound.
Tickets are being sold at Compass Information Centre in MUSC, and are $30.00 for the first 300 people. Tickets will increase to $35.00 after thereafter. After purchasing a ticket, students are encouraged to register it online, which would include noting any dietary restrictions.
