Country Night featuring the James Barker Band and Bull Rides for Charity Ball
November 20, 2017 at 12:00 pm
On Thursday, November 23, the James Barker Band and special guest, Andrew Hyatt, are performing at Country Night inside TwelvEighty. To raise funds for Charity Ball, students can donate $4 to ride a mechanical bull in MUSC from 10 AM - 3 PM that day. In order to ride the bull, each student must sign a waiver. All the money raised from the bull rides will go towards supporting this year's charity recipient, the Eva Rothwell Centre.
The James Barker Band were awarded a release with Universal Music Canada and an all-inclusive trip to Nashville, Tennessee, as winners of the 2015 Boots and Hears Emerging Artist Showcase. Their first single, “Lawn Chair Lazy,” became the highest charting debut single ever from a Canadian artist at Country Radio. Game On, their first EP, debuted in April via Canada’s leading music company, Universal Music Canada.
Country Night is for McMaster University students only. Valid student ID card is required upon entry, and failure to provide valid McMaster ID will result in denied access without refund. To purchase tickets, click here. Each ticket has a unique barcode which allows only one entry per ticket. No backpacks or outside beverages will be allowed inside the grounds, although backpacks can be checked at coat check for $2.
Charity Ball is excited to be supporting the Eva Rothwell Resource Centre as their charity recipient. Located in Hamilton’s North End, the Eva Rothwell Centre partners with families living in poverty, empowering them by providing support in order to fulfill their desired potential.
