Celebrate the end of classes at the 4th annual Light Up the Night

McMaster University Alumni Association, the McMaster Students Union, and the Student Success Centre have partnered to host the 4th annual year-end block party on April 9, 2018. The events will last from 4:30 PM - 11 PM on-campus at McMaster University. Light up the Night will feature thousands of bulbs strung between campus buildings and trees, carnivalesque rides and games, free food vendors, and musical performances, culminating in a fireworks show around 10 PM.
The main stage will feature special musical guest Scott Helman, with additional talent on the side stage from 7 PM - 11 PM. The annual Last Lecture with a Q&A in Convocation Hall from 4:30 PM - 6 PM is hosted by activist and journalist, Desmond Cole. Last Lecture is free, but registration is required.
There will be multiple rides, various midway games, and complimentary traditional carnival food, such as cotton candy and churros. Those interested in witnessing a culinary cook-off can attend the Hungry Games with Jonny Blonde - Battle of the McMaster’s Chefs from 7 PM - 8:30 PM in Celebreation Hall. This event is free, but registration is required.
In addition, students and attendees can take part in headphone disco, a coffeehouse in Convocation Hall, and games night in MUSC Atrium. Everythign at Light Up the Night is is free - all McMaster students and alumni are welcome to attend. A McMaster University student card will be required to gain access to the free food vendors and rides.
Looking for some free Light Up the Night swag, including glow-in-the-dark t-shirts? Free give-a-ways and food samples will be available in the MUSC atrium on April 3 and 4 starting at 10am.
