Creating Leadership Amongst Youth (CLAY) is a leadership conference for high school students from across the Hamilton and the GTA for a weekend of session-based activities designed to create an environment conducive to self-development in different areas. This year, CLAY will take place from May 25 - 27, held at Camp Trillium Rainbow Lake. Any student currently attending high school from grades 9 to 12 is eligible to participate as a delegate in the conference - no previous leadership or extra-curricular experience is required.

“This conference is an incredible opportunity for high school students from diverse backgrounds to develop their leadership skills and challenge themselves in a unique, safe, and fun setting,” said Morganna Turner, CLAY Outreach Coordinator. “Through sponsorship and fundraising, CLAY strives to reduce financial barriers to provide youth with an opportunity for self-development, goal-setting, and meaningful connections with mentors from McMaster University.”

The standard cost for the conference is $165 (plus HST). For individual registrations, payments must be made through the online portal. Registration occurs online on the McMaster Students Union website, at the CLAY page located under the SURVEYS tab (left side of the page) or at click here. Registration fees may be subsidized if students are in need of financial assistance.
