Upcoming OSAP Changes

Beginning this fall, students receiving OSAP or provincial student aid will have their funding deposited automatically to McMaster in order to pay tuition, student fees, meal plan, and residence costs. If there is leftover funding after the fall-term fees are paid, the remaining funding will be deposited into students’ bank accounts.

Students are encouraged to check their Account Summary in Mosaic to determine how much of their balance is covered by OSAP. If the OSAP or provincial student aid does not cover the full cost of tuition and other student fees, the remaining balance must be paid before the fee deadlines to avoid interest charges. For general inquiries and counselling related to managing money and paying student fees, students can access Mac’s Money Centre. In addition, information on financial resources, such as bursaries, work programs, and external scholarships are available through the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships.
