September 6, 2018 at 15:32 pm

McMaster University Homecoming 2018 will take place from September 14 - September 16. The variety of Homecoming programming, including a Roy Wood$ concert and a Homecoming Street Festival, will make for a weekend to remember for students and alumni alike.

The 6th annual Homecoming Expo will kick-off Homecoming weekend on BSB field on Friday, September 14 from 10 AM - 3 PM. Students can expect music, Hoco swag giveaways, a Ferris wheel, and a celebratory collection of the groups and services belonging to the McMaster community.

#MacHoco2018 will feature Roy Wood$ with special guest Aaron Aye on Friday, September 14. The concert will be held in Burridge Gym and gates will open at 7:00 PM. McMaster student ID is required with a student concert ticket upon entry. The event entrance will be located at the back of the track field behind Ron Joyce stadium. Students with accessible needs can enter through the main doors to Ivor Wynne Centre.

Tickets are $30 for Students, $30 for Alumni, and $40 for guests (plus HST). Only one guest ticket is available per McMaster student, and the guest must present government issued ID with ticket. Ticket combo packs, including a concert ticket and a ticket to the Homecoming Football game, are available at Compass Information Centre for $40. Tickets for students and guests are available for purchase online and at Compass Information Centre in MUSC. McMaster University alumni are highly encouraged to attend the concerts, and can purchase tickets directly from the Alumni Association.

On Saturday, September 15 at 1:00 PM, the Marauders will face the Toronto Varsity Blues during the Homecoming football game. On the same day, beginning at 10 AM, the inaugural Homecoming Street Festival will commence in Westdale. This street fest will feature live music, free giveaways from campus partners, local vendors, licensed patios, and photo booths.

Women’s and men’s soccer and women’s rugby are competing throughout the weekend. In addition, there is a Brandon Hall Reunion for the first year of the residence in 1998 and a Geology Reunion on Saturday.
