Learn about house-hunting tips and destress at the Grind with MSU Maroons

The MSU Maroons have two upcoming events: House Hunters: Student Edition, a livestream hosted in collaboration with Municipal Affairs Committee on November 27, and Warm, Fuzzy & Study, a de-stressor event on December 5.
“The House Hunters livestream aims to make the process of finding a house to rent less confusing, offer valuable advice regarding living off-campus, and is a great opportunity to learn more about bylaws and what to look for in a potential home,” says Maja Terzic, Events Coordinator. “On the other hand, Warm Fuzzy, & Study is designed to offer students a place to destress before exam season, whether that is through spending time with therapy dogs, chatting with new friends, or eating some snacks while studying.”
House Hunters, Student Edition is taking place on the Maroons Facebook on November 27, from 2:30 - 3:30 PM. Students can tune into the livestream to ask questions about the process of renting a house, learn about the various bylaws that exist to protect renters, and hear a few helpful tips on what to look for when deciding where to live. Questions can be asked during the livestream or through this link.
On December 5, Warm, Fuzzy & Study is taking place at the MSU Grind Cafe. This study session and de-stressor event will feature therapy dogs, board games, pastries, and warm beverages. All are welcome to attend and are encouraged to use the event as needed, whether that is to study or take a break and relax.
The Maroons are a unique service that aim to connect the undergraduate student population to the McMaster Students Union and the broader McMaster community. As representatives of the MSU, Maroons volunteers spread awareness of opportunities and resources for students to get involved with the various services within the MSU. They aim to be the carriers of Marauder spirit on campus and within the community, through the promotion and organization of programming geared towards the student body.
