The MSU Presidential Nomination Period Has Begun

November 30, 2012 at 17:32 pm

All full-time undergraduate students (18 units or more) are members of the MSU and are therefore eligible to run in the election for the office of MSU President. The elected candidate will serve a term of office from May 1, 2013 through April 30, 2014. For a list of the responsibilities of the MSU President, please visit the MSU’s President’s website and review the policies governing the President.

It is recommended that those interested in running for the position carefully read the rules and regulations concerning an MSU presidential campaign.

The nomination period will run until 5pm on January 18, 2013, at which point the nomination paperwork and a $50 deposit are due to the MSU Main Office (MUSC 201). At 6pm on January 18, 2013 all nominees must attend a mandatory all-candidates meeting in the MSU Main Office.

The MSU presidential election will be held from January 29 – 31, 2013. All eligible voters (undergraduate students enrolled in 18 or more units) will receive an email through their McMaster account, with directions to access the online presidential ballot.
