2018 Referendum:

The Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) is a resource centre that is committed to work in the area of social justice and environmental action. It is comprised of student, community volunteers, and staff. Currently, full-time undergraduate students pay $8.07 each, increasing annually by a factor equal to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to McMaster’s OPIRG chapter.

On November 26th, 2017, the Student Representative Assembly (SRA) voted in favour of putting this fee to a referendum. The SRA has created three choices for students. These choices are listed below. Please rank your choices in order of your preference, with #1 being your most preferred choice, #2 your second choice and #3 your least preferred option.

The SRA formally endorses reducing the fee to $5.50 per student, per year.
